Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty restores the vagina’s tone and appearance by removing excess tissue and tightening supportive muscle structures. Vaginoplasty generally repairs or removes excess vaginal tissue to increase pleasure (for both partners involved!) during sexual intercourse.

What is Vaginoplasty?

Vaginoplasty is a cosmetic procedure performed on women for either aesthetic or medical purposes. Vaginoplasty tightens and tones the vagina to make women feel good about their vaginas.

Vaginoplasty Procedures

The term vaginoplasty encompasses a number of different surgical procedures on the vagina. The most common vaginoplasty procedures make incisions along natural folds and remove excess tissue to decrease the vagina's diameter. Labiaplasty decreases the size of the labia lips whereas clitoroplasty increases the size of the clitoris to enhance sexual stimulation. Different vaginoplasty procedures target different aspects of a woman's vagina.

A Good Candidate for Vaginoplasty

Good candidates for vaginoplasty are healthy women wanting to enhance the appearance or feel of their vaginas. It is important to think hard about the reasons for undergoing vaginoplasty and determine whether you are a good candidate or not.

What is Labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of the labia lips. Like vaginoplasty, labiaplasty enhances the appearance of one’s vagina and can solve for any discomfort a woman may feel from enlarged labia.

Vaginoplasty expectations

Patients can expect a tighter and stronger vagina after undergoing vaginoplasty. Women with stretched vaginas as a result of pregnancy can rid of excess skin and restore the shape of their pre-pregnancy vagina. Depending on the specific vaginoplasty procedure, women can expect higher levels of sexual stimulation.

Vaginoplasty Recovery

Recovering from vaginiplasty requires commitment to rest and relaxation. Patients generally have to avoid sexual intercourse for several weeks following the surgery.

Risks and Side Effects of Vaginoplasty

As with any cosmetic procedure, there area a number of risks and side effects involved in vaginoplasty. The vagina has some of the body’s most sensitive organs. Therefore, it is important to know the risks and side effects before undergoing surgery.

Cost of Vaginoplasty

There is no set cost of vaginoplasty but generally ranges between $4,000 and $9,000. The cost depends on the specific procedure one undergoes.
