What is Dimple Fabrication (Dimpleplasty)?

Do you crave those adorable indentations that you admire over every time you see one? Got ten minutes? Dimpleplasty is a surprisingly simple and possible way to surgically create permanent dimples. A natural dimple is typically molded when there is a small defect in the cheek muscles. The skin superimposing this small defect is wedged down to the fundamental soft tissue in turn creating a dimple or favorable indent in the skin.

A Good Candidate for Dimple Fabrication (Dimpleplasty)

Why would anyone want to showcase dimples? Some believe dimples are considered a sign of good luck and prosperity.  Others see dimples as a way of animating a smile or supplementing ones character.

Dimple fabrication surgery is a relatively relaxed and effortless way to form a depression dimple for those people who have always wanted one.

Dimple Fabrication (Dimpleplasty) Procedure

A dimple fabrication (dimpleplasty) plastic surgery starts with a small easy incision located to the inside of your cheek leaving no scar on the outside walls.  A tiny absorbable stitch is conceded through the inside of the cheek catching the underlying skin where the dimple is preferred. When this stitching is knotted it causes a depression in the overlying skin.

The markings between the underlying skin and muscle will cause a fabricated dimple even after the suture is absorbed. Within the first few days a dimple presents itself without even smiling, but after numerous weeks, the dimple is merely observed while smiling or moving the face.

Side Effects and Risks of Dimple Fabrication (Dimpleplasty)

Dimple fabrication surgery is safe and effective, but can also be potentially reversible.  There are minimal complications such as swelling and bruising. You should be able to resume your normal activities the following day as antibiotics will be prescribed for any associated pain.
