Vaser Liposelect

Vaser Liposelect is an alternative to traditional liposuction that produces enhanced results with minimal bruising. Vaser Liposelect, also known as liposelection, can be used to target excess fat in all areas of the body including the face, arms and abdominal region.

The difference between liposuction and Vaser Liposelect

Traditional liposuction surgery uses a probe to break up the fat before it is removed. This leads to bruising due to the repetitive movement of the probe under the skin. Vaser Liposelect uses sound waves to break the fat molecules into small particles. This allows for the removal of the fat through a probe without any force being applied.

How is Vaser Liposelect performed?

The first stage is to inject a solution into the target area to numb the area. The injected anaesthetic also works to loosen the fat particles and make it easier to break down.

A probe is then inserted into the area through a small incision. The probe emits sound waves. These sound waves melt the fat and turn the fat cells to a liquid mass. The liquid fat is then removed from the body using suction.

Benefits of  Vaser Liposelection

The main benefit of Vaser Liposelection is the minimal bruising after the fat removal. The sound waves emitted effectively target only fat cells - leaving all other cells and tissue undamaged. This not only limits the bruising but also reduces the amount of blood loss incurred. Compared to traditional liposuction, the procedure is less painful and most patients comfortably undergo the procedure without general anaesthetic.
