peripheral neuropathy

A little over a month ago, my right leg from my knee down to my foot started tingling badly. Two days later, my two hands started tingling. Then, two days ago, my left leg started. Its a cold, tingling, needles and pins feelings. I am a heavy drinker, a moderate smoker, have had a history of stomach problems, don't eat well. Could this be a result of toxic action on my nerves because of alchohol or vitamin B deficiency? I need help and have no health insurance and it is hard to find a clinic or health center here in Los Angeles that would would charge you according to your ability to pay and has the facility to do neurological exams. Please help.
