My ears have been stopped up and I have a lot of pressure in my head. - Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

My ears have been stopped up and I have a lot of pressure in my head.

My balance is also way off and I also have shortness of breath. Now I am having some minor headaches. An ENT dr can't find anything wrong with my ears. My neuroligist did a brain MRI and it didn't show anything. It is very miserable and dibilitating. What is wrong with me?

My ENT doctors look for patients with signs and symptoms of vertigo. That is a specific type of dizziness in which the patient feels as though they are spinning in space, not that they are unsteady or want to fall from one side to another. Typically, vertigo has no association with shortness of breath and vertigo has nothing to do with headaches. It is a separate neurologic system governed by a separate neuro-pathway. I suspect your shortness of breath is one specific problem. Your balance is another problem. Your headaches are still another problem. I would recommend you take the problems one at a time. For example, the shortness of breath should be handled by a pulmonologist and a pulmonary function test should be the basis of where you would start with the shortness of breath. The minor headaches are just that. If they are minor headaches, they should be controlled with Motrin and Tylenol every six hours. The balance issues can be any number of things from anemia to low potassium, dehydration, blood pressure issues, etc. The balance problem is not necessarily coming from the inner ear, but actually can be coming from medical issues that have not come to the forefront or have been diagnosed at this point and time. If the problem is not getting any better, I suggest a second opinion with another set of physicians. I wish you all the best in finding out the answers to these problems.
