Is female hair loss normal?

Should women be concerned if they start to loose clumps of hair?  Is female hair loss normal and when should a woman seek advice from a doctor?

Hair loss in women is more common than people realise - over 21 million women in the US experience hair loss at some point in their lives. Female hair loss is usually triggered by a change in hormones, commonly during pregnancy or menopause, or as the result of stress. It's normal to loose small ammounts of hair but if you're worried, you should seek medical advice.

It's completely normal it just isn't talked about! Omega 3, vitamin B and iron are important vitamins to strengthen hair and prevent hair loss. you could try supplementing your diet and see if this helps. If not then see a doctor, loosing hair can be the body's response to another problem.

This happened to me while I was pregnant. A couple of months after I gave birth it grew back. Try not to stress as this can make it worse and see a tricologist if it continues. Take care

Hormonal hair loss is expected for women. Male like hair loss for women can be treated with FUE method but if there is a hormonal inbalance this should be the first thing to be cured. Hair transplant can be considered after hormonal treatment if there is any hormonal inbalance.
