How often can a person get kidney stones?

My husband gets kidney stones all the time. Several stones every year. How can we prevent this?

Most doctors will tell you that it is best to get the stones that are passed tested to see what might be causing them so frequently.  Some stones are calcium rich and those patients are instructed to stay away from foods like spinach or milk products. So the next time he passes a stone be sure to get it tested and that i might help you find your answers.  In the meantime, kidney stones are very painful...good luck.
