The estimated costs for a total knee replacement would be 12.450,- Euros, which would include the preoperative consultation with the Consultant Surgeon Dr. Alf Neuhaus in the outpatient office Clinica SANDALF, the pre-operative blood test, chest X-ray and X-ray of the knee if needed, 5 days hospital stay, fees for the surgeon, the anesthetist, the surgical assistance and the instrument nurse, the usual medication and material used in the operating theatre and on the ward, the prosthetic material, daily hospital visits by the surgeon and the physiotherapist from Clinica SANDALF as well as the follow up consultation in Clinica SANDALF after hospital discharge for the wound care, removal of the stitches, twice weekly physiotherapy up to a total of six sessions, and the final consultation including a X-ray of the operated joint. I have found something that might help, I know it did answer quite a few questions about cost for me. It's a cost estimator that let's you customize your age, location, pre-exisiting conditions and even your insurance and then produces a bill with all the cost information you could ever want. Compared to my own grandfather's bill, it was almost a perfect match, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for answers about how much knee replacement surgery costs.
