When can you go to work after cataract operation? - Eye Care (Ophthalmology)

When can you go to work after cataract operation?

My Father has a cataract operation scheduled for Thursday week (left eye - London OC). He says he'll be ok to go on his own and is even talking about returning to work later that day! Is this wise or should someone be with him?

I wanted to follow up and say thank you again for advising me to accompany my Father to his cataract removal. He definately needed someone with him afterwards because his vision was blurry and he was slightly light headed. His operation was a success and his vision has drastically improved. The staff at London OC were fantastic and I would recommend the clinic to anyone who needs cataract surgery. Waiting on the NHS was not an option for us and it was nice to have such a positive alternative available.
