12-yr old daughter's right hip bone is bigger than left hip bone - Orthopedic Surgery

12-yr old daughter's right hip bone is bigger than left hip bone

my 12-yr old daughter's right hip bone is much bigger than her left hip bone which causes her body to become quite distorted due to the "uneveness" of her body. and since she is thin, it is very evident. we noticed this only recently. she experiences no pain though. what could be the cause and to whom can we go to for consultation on this? thanks

This is the area of interest for Orthopedic Surgeons and a complete examination of the hips must be done and X-Ray findings of both hips should be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon. It’s appropriate to declare the cause and a proper treatment plan, after these evaluations.

Dear Sir/ Madame,

May I ask: If the ‘uneveness’ is very evident, why have you only noticed it very recently? I do not mean to be rude, but certain unevenness in a growing youngster is rather normal and usually corrects itself throughout crowing. If there are no symptoms like pain/ discomfort/ limping/ weakness or other I would not do anything but keeping an eye on her. Sometimes parents are far too observant and anxious about the children. It would help if you could send a mail with some radiographic images of the pelvis.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Yours sincerely,
